Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Jobix is an app for owners of small trade businesses (painting, plumbing, building work…) to track their workers, clients, attendance, payments, expenses and tools.
Jobix is published by M7 software. M7 software is operated by an individual developer based in Morocco.
Contact for any privacy question or request: support@m7-software.com
2. Summary
- Your records are stored in your own account and are only visible to you.
- Photos and the AI chat history stay on your phone.
- When you use the AI assistant, your question and the figures needed to answer it are sent to an external AI provider.
- The app has no ads, no analytics, no crash reporting, no location tracking and no push notifications.
- You can delete your account and your data from the app at any time.
3. Data we collect
Account data
- Email address and password, if you create an account with email. The password is handled by Firebase Authentication (Google); the app does not store it.
- If you sign in with Google: your name, email address and Google account identifier, received from Google. Google also gives Firebase your profile photo address; the app does not save it in your profile.
- A user identifier created by Firebase for your account.
- Your profile: name, email, phone number (optional), currency, first day of the week, type of work, and the dates the profile was created and last changed.
Business data you enter
- Workers: name, phone, address, daily wage, overtime rate, amount owed before using Jobix, start date, the client they are assigned to, archive status.
- Clients (projects): name, phone, site address, agreed price, start date, assigned workers, archive status.
- Attendance: the status of each day (full day, half day, absent), overtime hours and the wage of that day.
- Payments to workers (advances and reimbursements), payments received from clients and project expenses: amount, date and an optional note.
- Tools: name, where each tool is and the history of its moves, archive status and reason.
- Monthly totals computed from these records.
This data includes information about other people (your workers and clients). You decide what you enter and why. You are responsible for having the right to enter it and, where needed, for informing these people. We process this data on your behalf and only to provide the app to you.
AI assistant data
When you send a message to the AI assistant, the following is sent to our AI gateway and then to the AI provider (see section 6):
- your message and the recent messages of the same conversation;
- the records the app looked up to answer (for example names of workers, clients or tools, amounts, dates, attendance figures and notes on payments or expenses), and, to tell apart two similar names, the last 3 digits of a worker's phone or a client's site address;
- your currency, your type of work, today's date and your first day of the week.
Your name and email address are not added to these messages by the app.
Our gateway checks that you are signed in and stores only your user identifier, your plan, and counters of your daily use (number of requests and amount of text processed). It does not store the content of your messages. Its technical logs contain a shortened, one-way code of your user identifier, the model used, the result code, counts and duration, but no message content.
Data kept only on your phone
- Photos: your profile photo and tool photos are saved in the app's folder on your phone and are never uploaded. Only the file location on the phone is saved in your records.
- The AI chat history (the last 50 messages), kept per account. It is deleted when you start a new chat, sign out or delete your account.
- Your ratings of AI answers (thumbs up or down, the kind of question and which feature answered). No text of the question or the answer is saved, and the ratings are not sent anywhere.
- Your settings: app language, light or dark theme, reply language of the assistant, and whether you have seen the introduction.
- A copy of your records kept by Firebase on the phone so the app works without internet.
What the app does not collect
The app does not use advertising, analytics or crash-reporting services, does not access your location, contacts or microphone, and does not send push notifications. The camera and photo gallery are used only when you choose to add a photo, through your phone's own picker.
Like any internet service, Google, Cloudflare and Groq may process technical data such as your IP address and device type when the app connects to them, to deliver and secure their service.
4. Why we use your data, and on what basis
- To create your account, sign you in and keep your records: this is needed to provide the app you asked for, and you accept it when you create your account.
- To answer your questions with the AI assistant: only when you use it.
- To apply daily limits to the AI assistant and prevent abuse: our legitimate interest in keeping the service available and its costs under control.
- To answer your requests sent to support.
- To meet legal obligations, where they apply.
We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.
5. AI processing
- Your messages and the relevant business figures are processed by an external AI provider (Groq) to write the answers.
- The figures in an answer (totals, balances, days) are computed by the app from your records. The assistant chooses what to show and writes the sentence. Answers can still be wrong or incomplete: check important information before you rely on it.
- Advice from the assistant is general information only. It is not accounting, tax, legal or financial advice.
- Do not enter sensitive information that the app does not need (for example health information, identity card or bank card numbers, or passwords) in records or in messages to the assistant.
6. Service providers
We use these providers to run the app. They process data on our behalf, under their own terms and security measures:
- Google (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Google Sign-In, and Firebase Hosting for the web pages): accounts and records.
- Cloudflare (Workers and D1 database): our AI gateway, which checks your sign-in and counts your daily use.
- Groq: the AI model that writes the assistant's answers. We do not ask Groq to keep your conversations.
We do not share your data with anyone else, unless the law requires it.
7. International transfers
These providers run their services mainly in the United States and may use servers in other countries. Your data is therefore transferred outside Morocco. The processing and these transfers are subject to the formalities of Moroccan Law 09-08 with the National Commission for the Control of Personal Data Protection (CNDP).
8. How long we keep data
- Your account and your records: as long as your account exists. Archived records are kept until you delete them or your account.
- AI daily-use counters: up to 90 days, then deleted automatically.
- When you delete your account, see section 11 for what is deleted and the few items that are kept for a short time.
- Data on your phone: until you delete it in the app, delete your account or uninstall the app.
9. Security
- Connections between the app and our providers are encrypted (HTTPS).
- Database rules allow each account to read and change only its own records.
- The key of the AI provider is kept only on our gateway, never in the app.
- The gateway accepts a request only with a valid sign-in token.
No system is perfectly secure. Protect your phone and your password, and contact us if you think your account has been used by someone else.
10. Your rights
Under Moroccan Law 09-08 you have the right to be informed, to access your data, to correct it, to have it deleted and to object to its processing for legitimate reasons.
- Access and correction: you can see and edit your profile and your records in the app at any time.
- Deletion: you can delete your account and all your data from the app (section 11).
- For any other request, including a copy of your data, write to support@m7-software.com from the email address of your account. We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours.
You can also file a complaint with the CNDP (www.cndp.ma).
11. Deleting your account
In the app: open the menu (☰) → Profile → Delete account permanently → confirm → sign in again (password or Google).
The app then deletes all your records (workers, clients, attendance, payments, expenses, tools and their history, monthly totals), your profile, your AI usage counters on our gateway, and your sign-in account. On your phone it also deletes the photos linked to your profile and tools, the AI chat history and your answer ratings. This cannot be undone.
What is kept for a short time:
- Today's AI usage counter (your user identifier and today's numbers) stays until the automatic clean-up after the end of the day (UTC), so that deleting an account cannot be used to get around the daily limit.
- If an account was blocked for abuse, the block record (user identifier and block status) is kept to prevent the abuse from continuing.
- Technical logs of our providers are kept for the limited time set by those providers.
- Your app language and theme stay on the phone until you uninstall the app.
If you cannot open the app, write to support@m7-software.com from the email address of your account and ask for the deletion of your account. We will delete it and confirm by email.
12. Children
Jobix is meant for business owners and is not intended for people under 18. We do not knowingly collect data about children. If you think a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. For important changes, we will inform you by reasonable means, for example in the app.
